width="234"

This life-changing experience will be a gift you give to children in need—and a gift you give to yourself. One person will have the chance to be at the front lines of delivering surgical care to those who need it most. You’ll travel along for the first week of a trip, accompanying a team of 12–15 medical volunteers. Experience the excitement of clinic day, when the doctors and nurses examine hundreds of patients and schedule surgeries for the remaining two weeks. Should you so choose, step into the operating room and see firsthand how reconstructive surgery is performed. Stand at a child’s bedside and witness her parents’ joy when they behold their child immediately following surgery. This is a true medical team trip experience, delivering care in parts of the world with little access to medical care. As such, accommodations may be basic, but you’ll have the incredible camaraderie of the team and the trust and joy of the Interplast patients. This trip will be truly transformative.

Choices of trips and dates to Vietnam or Latin America through April 2011.
